Tehfeez Ul Quran

All Praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all that exists and may peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Indeed, Allah has favoured us with numerous bounties and blessings. From these blessings is the blessing of children as Allah has said in the Quran in Surah Kahf, v.46:

“Wealth and children are (but) the adornment of the worldly life.” And from the blessings of Allah upon us is that He bestows upon His slaves the ability to memorize His Magnificent Book. Hifz of the Quran has a very high and exalted status in Islam. Whoever memorises the Quran and acts upon it, Allah will reward him and honour him greatly so that he will rise in status in Paradise to a level proportionate with what he has memorised of the Quran. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’aan: Recite and rise in status, recite as you used to recite in the world, for your status will be at the last verse that you recite.”

The reward is not only for the haafiz but also for the parents who encourage and urge their children towards learning the Quran and following its teaching.

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads the Qur’aan, learns it and acts in accordance with it, on the Day of Resurrection his parents will be given a crown to wear whose light will be like the light of the sun, and his parents will be given garments which far surpass everything to be found in this world. They will say, “Why have we been given this to wear?” It will be said, “Because your child learnt the Qur’an.”’'

By the grace of Allah, 4 students successfully completed their Tehfeez-ul-quran in this year academic year 2016-2017 at Darul Ayman. Two of our students, Fatimah Jannat Riya binth Rasheed and Hafsa Naaz binth Sheikh Ahmed received their Sanad thereby adding their name to the scholarly lineage of reciters tracing back to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Currently, 22 students are pursuing only Hifz course at our madrassa. 69 students from class VI to II PUC are doing Hifz along with their formal education. 9 students who have completed their Hifz are at present doing their daur.

Students of the Primary section, from LKG to Class V are studying Dirasath-ul-Islamiyah (Islamic Studies) along with their Hifz which is compulsory. From Class VI onwards, the students are allowed to continue either with Dirasath-ul-Islamiyah or Hifz according to their ability.

Students are instructed in Basic Qaida Nooraniyah by Sister Zahira along with 4 other teachers. There are 7 teachers for students of Classes I & II to help them with their Hifz under the supervision of section in-charge Sister Mujidah.

Classes III, IV and V have Sister Suhana as their In-charge and there are 12 teachers for Hifz in this section, one of whom is a Hafiza.

Students of Class VI to II PUC have a total of 11 lady teachers and 9 Usthads under the supervision of Sister Thasniya. All the Usthads are Huffaz themselves and 6 lady teachers are Hafizas. Al Hamdulillah.

Thus we have a total of 16 Hafiza teachers and Usthads in our madrassa who are guiding our children in the noble task of memorization of the Quran. May Allah safeguard them!

Along with hifz, our students are also taught word-to-word translation of the Quran and Arabic grammar. May Allah increase them in knowledge and deeds!

I pray to Allah (SWT) to keep our teachers and children steadfast in His deen and make them true preservers of the Quran not only in words but also in deed. May He make us of those who use their children in His obedience and in what is pleasing to Him. AMEEN!
